Battlefield 3 Break EA Records

Battlefield 3, first person shooter game from Electronic Arts (EA), sold over five million units within one week after the day of its release. In the market, this game has an estimated revenue gain of more than 300 million U.S. dollars.



EA said the number of copies sold is a game that internal estimates, and this makes Battlefield 3 becomes fastest selling game in the history of EA. This is a positive signal for EA in the competition against its competitors, Activision Blizzard will launch a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, on 8 November.


Although sales figures above to be good news for EA, but this game companies still have to face the rigors of competition games first person shooter genre. A game reviewer on Metacritic, gave a 85 out of 100 for Battlefield 3 is playable on Xbox 360, the value 87 for the PlayStation PS3, and the value 90 for its PC version.
